Life Journey Privacy Policy

Life Journey (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) is a life timeline and countdown tool for recording future plans, past moments, thoughts, and photos. We value your privacy and aim to keep your personal content under your control.

1. Information You Create

Life Journey allows you to create moment titles, written content, target dates, categories, time display formats, thoughts, and photos that you actively choose from your photo library.

This content is created by you and is used to provide features such as timelines, countdowns, photo previews, thought records, share image generation, and local notification reminders.

2. Local Storage and iCloud Sync

Your app content is stored on your device through Apple’s local data storage mechanisms.

If you enable iCloud for the App and your current Apple ID supports sync, related content may be synced across your devices through Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit private database. iCloud processing is provided by Apple and is subject to your Apple ID, iCloud settings, and Apple’s applicable terms and privacy policy.

3. Photo Library Access and Image Saving

The App requests photo library permission only when you actively add a moment photo, add a thought photo, or save an image to your local photo library from a full-screen preview or sharing page.

Photos are used only to display, record, preview, generate share images, and save the content you choose. We do not scan your photo library in the background, and we do not access photos that you have not selected.

4. Local Notifications

If you enable reminders in the App, Life Journey may use iOS local notifications to remind you about a future moment or anniversary at the scheduled time.

Local notifications are scheduled by your device system. You can enable, disable, or manage notification permission in the App settings or in iOS system settings.

5. Network, App Store, and Third-Party Services

Life Journey may check network status to determine whether to initialize, refresh data, or display sync status.

When you actively choose to send feedback or rate the App, the App may open the App Store or related pages.

The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated feature usage events, such as app launches, tab switches, moment creation or deletion, image preview or saving, category management, settings actions, and policy page views. These events help us understand feature usage and improve product quality.

We do not send your moment titles, body text, thought text, photos, category names, or precise moment dates to Firebase Analytics. The current version does not use advertising tracking or crash reporting features.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal content, and we do not use your moments, thoughts, or photos for advertising.

When you use features such as iCloud, the App Store, or Firebase Analytics, relevant data may be processed by the corresponding service providers and will be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Your Choices and Control

You can add, edit, delete, and sort categories and moments in the App. You can also delete photos or thoughts that you have added.

You can manage photo library permission, notification permission, and iCloud access in iOS settings. You can also delete the App to remove local app data from your device, although data retained in iCloud or system backups depends on your iCloud and backup settings.

8. Data Retention

Your content remains in the App until you delete it, disable the relevant sync features, or delete the App.

Content synced through iCloud may continue to be retained depending on your iCloud account, backup, and device settings.

9. Children and Sensitive Information

Life Journey is a general productivity and personal recording tool. Please avoid adding sensitive information that you do not want stored on your device or in iCloud.

If you believe the App contains content that should not be stored, please delete that content in the App and, if necessary, review your iCloud and device backup settings.

10. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when app features or legal requirements change. The latest version will be made available in the App, on the App Store page, or on this page.
